Prevent PO Change from being output

Postby doremon » Mon Aug 07, 2006 5:40 pm

Hi! Does anyone know of a way to not initiate the output of the PO if we make any changes to it via the Process Purchase Order transaction? We want the ability to indicate whether we want to output the PO or not. In this transaction, I noticed that at the moment, I am only allow to choose one of the output options (such as print, email, xml, fax). There is no option to choose not to output the PO with my particular change.

Any ideas?

Appreciate your comments on the above.

Cheers!

enhancement

Postby srmguru » Mon Aug 14, 2006 12:08 pm

This is a pretty common requirement - believe we are doing this on one of my current projects. I'll try and get the name of the BADI for you - although this might be a more serious enhancement than a BADI. Possible, but via development.

Best, Jim

Hi,

One of the ways that we have controlled this is using version management. If you want only the first version to be printed your developer can make that happen.

Just try sitting with your developer and testing this, it is possible to include versions as a condition in printing the PO.

Use requirement logic

Postby Thinkwise » Tue Aug 22, 2006 8:58 am

I believe you can do this in one of the many requirments you can
use thru the access sequences. (LV61B105).

Use SPRO to get to the access seq pull down requirements and choose one. (Trial and error) than use some code to set the sy-subrc to 4.

Sy-subrc 4 will stop the output

Hi Please see OSS Note 820344
or as follows

In SM30 edit all entries of the BBPD_PO_METAOUT table by leaving the OUTPUT_RELEVANT indicator blank (" " )

Thanks all for the reply. The requirement for PO output has changed a bit from when I first asked the question. I am raising a separate topic for this. Hopefully someone can give me a quick answer. Cheers!

Prevent PO Change from being output in SRM

Postby sathishpm » Thu Dec 30, 2010 6:34 am

We have a similar requirement as follows. The user who is changing the PO should be able to decide whether to issue the Printout or not. For this Either

1.the user should get a popup with "PRINT - YES/NO?"" when changing the PO
2. The PO output tab should show an additional radiobutton NO_PRINT alsong with Print, Fax, XML.. so that the user can choose whether to issue the output or not

Anyone has any ideas on how to meet this requirement..

Thanks
