Defaults Settings Screen - Shopping Cart Full Functionality

Postby srmer » Fri May 05, 2006 4:56 pm

Hello,
Is it possible to include a custom field in the default setting screen of the Shopping Cart - Full Functionality transaction and have the specified value in this custom field defaulted to new items in the shopping cart?

Thank you.

do you mean attribute?

Are you asking, "Is it possible to add an attribute to the org plan?" ?

Or are you asking, "Is it possible to add a field to the shopping cart?"

In both cases, yes it is possible. Not adviseable, but possible.

Not either, Jim.

I am specifically taking about the "Default Screen" functionality of the "Shopping Cart - Full Functionality". This default screen appears at the top of the screen of this shopping cart transaction. And this will allow users to put in values of certain fields to have these values copied to newly added line items.

The user can 1) put in values in the fields on this screen, add line items to cart 2) change the values in the fields on this screen, add few more line items. The line items added first will get the default values input in 1 and the line items added second will get the default values input in 2.

When we add a custom field to the shopping cart, we can have this custom field added to this "default screen". Just wondering if we can have the same above mentioned functionality to these custom fields.

This will probably be a better way to solve the mass edit feature I was talking about in a different note.

Thank you for all your responses.
