Catalog Product validation - Shopping cart templates

Postby srmer » Fri May 05, 2006 4:33 pm

Hello,
When an item is added to the Shopping Cart by copying it from a saved template, if this item is a CCM/Requisite catalog item, the system will validate to see if this item exists in the catalog and if it is valid. If it is not valid it will throw a warning message and will not add the line to the shopping cart.

1) If the item that is being added is a Punchout (External Supplier) catalog item, will the same occur? Will the system validate the item with that external catalog and throw an error or warning and ignore the item?

2) If there are multiple line items, will the system add valid items and ignore all the others, or will the system ignore all the line items even if there is one invalid item?

Thank you.

Hi,

It all depends if the punch out catalogue supports OCI "validation".
If yes, then it normally all works in the same way, only non valid line items are ignored, others are added to my knowledge"

Cheers
