abap vs java

Postby esi » Wed Apr 19, 2006 10:46 am

Dear SRM community,
I am planning to implement SRM 5.x when it becomes available end of May, with the following scenarios:
Self-Service Procurement - yes
Plan-Driven Procurement - not now, perhaps later
Service Procurement - yes
Catalog Content Management - no
Strategic Sourcing - yes
Spend Analysis - yes
Contract Management - yes

After reading the install and master guides it is not clear if we need to install ABAP, JAVA or both.
Can you please clarify ?

Rgds, Eirikur.

ABAP only should be sufficient.

Dear snmsee,
thank you for the answer.
The following sapnet document:

confirms what you say.
