Un-read topic flagging lost

Postby abap_doctor » Mon Nov 13, 2006 6:19 am

My latest connection to SAPFans does not show the un-read icon on new topics.

One side effect of this is the "View posts since last visit" option does not work...

This is bl**dy annoying!

Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers snowy, but I'm already using the "www" address...

I have a feeling it's something to do with my current setup at my latest contract...

Still open to offers though....

if you click on a link that does not use the www, you will switch over to the other link and lose this.

Also check if your browser deletes/blocks cookies as they are needed to change the read status of forums and topics.

I tend to have the same issues. I found a possible workaround, when finished reading all topics in a forum, I click on "Mark all topics" read.

I will notify the owner of the site.

All my read post are showing as un-read, even after pressing the mark all topics read.

Not sure if this down to using IE7, or if something has changed!

Wha?

Now the un-read flag stays after reading.... :?

Sorry, it was better when it didn't work the other way round... :(

It's been like this for two days - coinciding with my upgrade to IE7...

I may have to uninstall it, as it appears to be affecting my access to SAP J2EE pages on XI!

Coincidentaly, at home I use v7 and it worked OK...

I've uninstalled IE7 and the problem persists!

Everytime I close my browser and come back to sapfans, I have to log back on - even if I flag the keep me logged on!

I've done this, but the problem persists.

I wonder if it could have something to do with my Proxy Server/Firewall at work, as it appears to work okay from home!
