Failed to connect to SAPLPD

Postby jo1 » Wed Jul 30, 2003 5:45 am

We have new Canon printer, which we have defined in SPAD, Access Method S but when trying to print - error in Spooler Incorrect (failed to connect to SAPLPD). Doesn't seem to be getting as far as Print Server. Services file on Print Server has printer defined on 515/tcp. Any ideas?

If you have other printers defined under access method S, the first thing you should do is make sure the settings match up.

The settings are the same as the other printers :(

Is your printer is Network printer?
Try to activate the in SPAD if you are not received any error then it should able to print to your printer.

Yes its a n/w printer. If I test the connection from within SPAD I get message "Remote host spool system available" but if I send a job to print then in SP01 it just appears with an error "Incorrect (failed to connect to SAPLPD)". SAPLPD is running on the Print Server:(

any resolution to this one?

Try to define the IP of your print server to the hosts file of your SAP servers.
