SAP Specialist I – Basis
We are seeking an IT professional to provide system, DB, and application support for the business application systems including multiple SAP systems and related support systems.


Responsibilities:

• Performs all system administration for our SAP landscape (dev, test, prod) and related systems (Xipay, Taxware), including configuration\installation\maintenance of hardware, OS, applications and performs all related tasks including data backups, disaster recovery, system documentation, etc.
• Performs DB support for US SAP systems (Oracle upgrades, tuning, DB maintenance, etc.)
• Performs all SAP basis support for SAP landscape (including user management, role security, output configuration (email, printing, faxing), troubleshooting, system tuning, data archiving, system copies, system measurements, support package implementation, transports, etc.)
• Performs application support for all related applications PayMetric, Taxware.
• Provides support for all SAP specific user hardware (handheld scanners, thermal label printers, etc.)
• Provides SAP helpdesk support for wide range of application related issues.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or related field, or 5-10 years of equivalent IT experience.
• 3-5 years of experience as a SAP BASIS administrator and Oracle DBA
• Strong technical documentation skills, good telephone support skills.
• Strong English oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• A results oriented individual who thrives working in a fast paced environment.
• Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, computer skills, and organizational skills.
• Good business acumen.
• Good documentation skills.
• Ability to work with and apply defined methodologies.
• Proficient at creating technical documentation(Word, Excel, Visio)
• Oracle DBA skills
• SAP Upgrade methodology knowledge\experience
• SAP Archiving experience
• General understanding of functional SAP areas for user support
• Backup\Disaster Recovery knowledge(OS, DB, App)
• System copy experience
• Server migration experience
• SAP and BW security experience
• SAP\Oracle\Windows performance tuning knowledge
• SAP Marketplace Basis experience(S-users, keys, support connections, etc.)
• Experience with ABAP workbench for SPDD/SPAU adjustments
• Experience with external SAP related software Taxware, PayMetric, Rightfax.
• Minimal travel.
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
• Sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This is not a consulting assignment.
