problem with printing in window nt

hi friends

i have installed printer in sapr3 in window nt environment.but printing process fails.but it is working fine with window 98.the problem that it displace is as follows

Can you ping the computer the printer is hosted on........sounds like it cant get to the printer or doesnt have rights to print to it...

Did you run SAPLPD on the print server? The shared printer in print server should not have any space. You shared printer name must match exactly the printer name in SAP.

It is because Windows 2000 addresses network printer as a network port. I believe you have a printer called "HP on Rajiv" in the system you're running SAPLPD. This printer is not seen as "HP" but "\\Rajiv\HP" as descriped by its port name. Note that you can't add another printer to the same port!

To fix it, go to spool admin. (SPAD) and change printer name to \\Rajiv\HP. It should work.
