I am looking for an easy way to get the last date that a material was purchased either through a purchase order or a scheduling agreement. We will be using this information to help us determine which materials can be flagged for deletion in the info record in preparation for archiving.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

If you want the latest PO date, have a look at ME2M. Enter plant, material no. & other criteria & execute. System will give you the list of PO's.
Other option may be wriiting a query or report to have a look at tables EKPO & EKKO directly.
Where to find your purchase date depends on what you mean by "date purchased". You ll find them in the following tables:
- creation date PO-header : EKKO
- creation date PO-item : EKPO
- delivery date in PO : EKET
- date of goods receipt : EKBE (or MSEG)
You can also get it via ME2L.
ME1P also can be tried out as it just required the Article number and will show you the PO history accross your enterprise if you have Authorization.
