Anyone used JVA / joint ventures in BCS?
I'm keen to hear of any tips/suggestions
- was the consolidation unit the joint venture?
- was reclassification used?
- proportional consolidation?
Anything in particular to look out for / be aware of?

We used proportional consolidaiton with group shares for the lot, JV, ASsociate, or Maj. owned.
We used a reclassification to adjsut the RE and Equity before COI is run.
We breifly considered implementing multiple accounting techniques, then decided a hole in the head would be less painful.
