BCS Investment Data Location

Postby CF_L » Tue Jan 30, 2007 2:31 am

Hi all

In consolidation of investment configuration, for investment data, the location of the values is mandatory set to additional financial data (AFD) in EC-CS. But in SEM-BCS 6.0, there is an option of setting the location of the investment data value to either additional financial data (AFD) or total database (TB). Which is the prefer method?

If we adopt the total database location for investment data, how to account the movement of our investment in the investee for example, if there is a partial divestiture or step acquisition, how to we enter the % shareholding movement in the RFD? Do we also need multiple transaction types to reflect the type of activities i.e. first consolidation, step consolidation, transfer, partial divestiture, etc in the RFD?

Any comment is appreciated.

cheers
