Hi Gurus,

I am trying to copy from one version in BCS to another version thru copy method. We have implemented time dependant hierarchy in BCS.

While copying there is ST22 error as follows:

MESSAGE_TYPE_X" C
CL_UC_METHOD_VAL==============CP" or "CL_UC_METHOD_VAL==============CM023"
IF_UC_METHOD_VAL_EXT~VALIDATE"

Have anyone came across this error in copying versions in BCS?

Regards,

IIM.

consider upgrading your SAPGUI to latest patch level.

Snowy,

Thanks for the comments. We are in patch level 12 in SEM 4.0, Which is quite recent. I am doing the complete comparision for the version settings for plan and actual for all document type, methods, task.

The copying is working for the period all periods except for special periods ending with dump error.

It is giving the validation error.

IIM.

I am talking about the SAPGUI patch level, for version 6.40, I believe that patch level 21 is available. try this newest one.

Hi

Postby itisme » Sun Oct 29, 2006 7:05 pm

Thanks for valuble inputs.

I have tried to keep the Plan data configuration in BCS same to version actual at all levels. having done this changes to certain extend then up to period 001- 012 the copying is sucessful.

Now the issue is still in 016 copying only.

I will try few OSS notes, then if nothing works then increase the patch level.

I agree with you.. it looks to be patch level issue.. but since customer is not willing to apply patches immediatley all this research was required.

Regards,

IIM.

I think around 90% of all error-message with text "CL__" are caused by SAPGUI incompatibility issues.

Thanks for the inputs. We have applied all relavant notes and ran out of solution...The last option seems to be applying latest patched . We are at version BCS 4.0 and patch level 11.

What is the curent patch level for BCS 4.0 that can be applied.

IIM.

If you've still got problems, can you post the source code fragment from the ST22 dump?

The downside of being better than everyone else is that people tend to assume you're pretentious.
