I have a question related to DMR.

The client requirement is to have DMR based on the number of production runs. Example They have 3 runs with 3 different process orders , each process order creates an inspection lot of 04 type. The client wants to inspect every third run. I know DMR works based on inspection lot , but , from what i see from this requirement they want to do a DMR based on every process order .

I have advised the client to create the number of inspections based for each product in the DMR stage based on the number of runs. For example, if a skip is to be done every third run , then they put the no of inspections as 3.

Has anyone seen such a requirement out there

In most cases we have one 04 inspection lot per process order. (but not always). So your idea would work.

You can use a user exit with your own custom logic to suppress the creation of the lot if you want. I think they are the QAT* user exits that you can look at for that.
