Blocked Stock

Postby AIZ » Tue May 07, 2013 8:57 pm

All,

I had a question on blocked stock.

What are the various ways of segregating blocked stock for the finance department to determine if the blocked stock belongs to the scrapping category , whether it is on hold for other reasons etc.

Can this be done by using a combination of storage locations . If WM is being used then i am assuming this is not possible.

Can we use blocked stock in conjunction with QM Notifications and QM orders , so that the Finance department can go to a deeper level of analysis.

Please let me know what you have seen or used in other implementations to solve this issue.

Thank you
AIZ

I've seen reports based on the "reason for movement" code but his isn't always exactly accurate. It is fairly accurate if you are batch managed as USUALLY, you don't have a batch in blocked stock for more than one reason.
