usage decision

Postby sap2000 » Tue Apr 10, 2012 5:49 pm

Hi Gurus,

I carried out the usage decision for an inspection lot both in receiving and production side but I am still able to go back and the change the decision I made. At what point does the system does not allow the changes to the decision made? can someone help me out.

Thanks

The UD can always be changed at any time. But once stock postings are done, the stock postings can not be undone or changed.

Thanks Craig that makes sense. I was able to accept the lot but still able to post the stock in blocked or scrap and vice versa even if i able to reject the insepction lot and still able to post it to unrestricted stock. Is there anyway to prevent it?

Thanks

Not really. You can set up the UD codes to utilize automatic stock posting, (set up in the selected set, click on posting in background indicator). When the code is selected the posting is done in the background for them automatically.

Then don't train users to use the stock posting screen. But I don't think you can actually prevent them from going to the stock posting screen and posting the stock to whereever they want.

Thanks Craig that was helpful. Also do we create quality notification and order only when you reject a inspection lot or if we have some work to do with the inspection lot?

Thanks
