Test equipment calibration

Hello,


Is there a way to store the calibration date on the test equipments. We assign test equipments to the inspection characteristics to know with wish reference equipment the inspection is done. These reference equipments are also calibrated and for that reson we need to know when this equipment was callibrated ( will also be done by QM).

I do not know where I can store this information on the reference equipment so that I can easely consult this information.

I'd have to check but I would believe at the very least you could assign a class to the equipment and assign a date characteristic in there.

Hi Craig,


I was thinking on the same , but how do we get it in QM. On the inspection point in customizing is it possible to assign user fields. I have called one "Callibration" on the date field.

now is it possible in the result recording to assign a date with label called "Callibration". This information is also displayed in the usage desicion (possible to consult from the PM order --> inspection lot --> usage desicion) , near the equipment number is this information displayed.

the problem is we have to go through the order what is not very user friendly. In case there are measuring documents with this information.

Certificats? --> possible? I dont know?

Updating the characteristic could be difficult. I would maybe suggest a follow-up action on the UD code?

I am with Craig..have done the exact same thing multiple occassions...Date as a char to Equip class and update with UD follow up action.

I comming back on this topic , updating a field classification on the equipment , is ok for me but I have still a question consern the origin of the date. Can I take this date from every where from the record results?

Is there standard a function module available to do this?

Have you looked at the Badi: Business Add-In for Display of Data for Results Recording on Subscreen?

You can find this in config under the QM-->Environment section.

You might be able to use this to provide the info. I haven't used it myself, but once you find a place to hook into the code, usually a good ABAP'er can get it to do what you want.
