Skip lot Quantity to QI-Stock -SOLVED-

Hi Gurus,
we have lots of Skip lots (Origin 01) and the Inspection Lot Quantities are posted to Quality Inspection Stock. Can anybody explain what to do, to get the skipped quantities into unrestricted Stock without doing Auto-UD?

Paul,

We had a discussion about a year ago on this. It seemed that several folks had systems where the skip lot qty went right to unrestrcited while others had to run the Auto UD for skip lots. We say this even within the same version of SAP. Never did figure out the cause or trigger.

The post to QI will can impact this but that impacts all non-skip lots as well which is a problem. If running the Auto UD for skip lots seems to work, then I think you'll find you'll have to do this. Is there a reason you don't want or can't run the job?

I found the Solution for the problem.
When you set the Indicators not only for "Skip lots allowed" in QM-View in Material Master, but also "Autom. UD", the quantity is posted directly to unrestricted Stock.

Hi,

I would add one comment to this as I struggled a long time before finding the solution.

Quantities of Skip lots will go directly to unrestricted stock as long as :
1) you set the Indicator "Skip lots allowed" in QM-View in Material Master
2) you set the indicator "Autom. UD" also in QM-View in Material Master
3) you don't use the option lot summary (example option "1") for the control inspection lot creation (field CHG) in QM-View in Material Master. According to SAP help on this field "If you have made settings for the lot summary, no ship to stock takes place for skip lot. That is to say, the stock type is not immediately changed from "in quality check" to "unrestricted-use"."
