Problem copying an MIC.

Postby Trygve » Mon Oct 28, 2002 7:44 am

Hi !

I've got a problem when trying to copy an existing MIC.

I'm using 4.6c.

When I use Transaction QS21 and enter : Plant, my new MIC and Keydate + As reference for copying : Plant and MIC(Ref). (With or without key date) I get error message QS150 : "No validity period was selected for MIC(Ref), Plant, Date(if entered)".

The diagnosis is :"You're trying to edit MIC(Ref),Plant, Key date." but I don't !! I try to use it as a reference when creating a new MIC.

I've tried to search in the SAP-notes, but can't find anything.

Can anybody help me on this one ?

Hi,
if you want to use MIC with versions you have to use transaction QS22 and not QS21.

If you want to use QS21 then don't use the field 'key date'.

Kind regards

Hi Jan !

We're not interested in creating a new version of the existing MIC, but a new MIC.

What I suddenly discovered was that most of our MIC's are being linked to a class characteristic, and there can be only one MIC linked to a Class Char., thus trying to make a copy of an existing one violates that.

I tried to create a MIC without the link and then copying it, and then it worked, which means that I solved my problem, but thanks for your effort.
