cost in test equipment management

Postby geoffreyboy » Wed Jun 13, 2012 12:31 am

hi guys,

We are going to use this test equipment management.
And we don't need to capture the cost, but system still need to maintain the workcenter in maintenance plan. We created the workcenter without cost center, but when the PM order created with the massgae "Cost center assignment to main work center has no been maintained"
how can I creat the PM order without cost?

Thanks.

Use a work centre with a cost centre, or it won't cost labour.

I think you have two options
1. In KP26 add estimated activity cost as 0.01. This way, you will not get any warning while releasing workorder. If you don't post time against this workcenter, you will not incur cost anyway.
2. Enhance IW32 release function to ignore this message "Cost center assignment..".

Thanks,

You can also remove the COST flag from the operation control key which will inhibit costing for that operation
