Legitimate use of Receiver Function Modules

Post by bucka » Sun Jul 05, 2009 10:01 pm

Hi all,

Just hoping to get some feedback on the legitimate use of Event Type Linkages and Receiver Function Modules.
The documentation I can see all refers to Business Workflow.

My question is whether it is legitimate to use a Receiver Function Module to carry out a non Workflow related activity directly.
For example if a PM Order Operation is Finally Confirmed, the Receiver Function Modules creates an outbound IDOC.

Thanks and Regards,

Kind Regards,

Ron Johns.

The older I get the better I was.

It is possible to use receiver function modules for non-workflow purposes.

"Legitimate" or not does not matter if the system permits it...
