Copy of WS20000075, how to pass the release code?

Postby Themax » Wed Dec 17, 2008 8:16 am

Dear experts,

I made the whole customizing for WS20000075 (workflow settings, release strategy, organizational structure) and it works.

But i have this client requirement: when executing the work-item, go to a specific transaction instead of me29n.

For this purpose, i created a copy of WS20000075, and a copy of BUS2012 (ZBUS2012). I created new tasks (copy of standard task) with the ZBUS2012.

When testing this new workflow with SWUE, it works. But when i try to start it from a real PO creation, the new forkflow fall in error, because no release code is pass to the workflow container.

Do you have any ideas on this issue? How the release code is passed to the standard workflow?

Regards,
TheMax

You need to define it in your binding from the event to the workflow and from the workflow to the task.

Check that you have container element T16FC-FRGCO defined in your workflow and bound from the event to workflow container element, and in your task also so the release code flows from the workflow container. Make sure also that the import/export parameters are appropriately set too on each container.

Thank you for your answer.

I have the release code in the container (T16FC-FRGCO), and the binding seems correct: when i create the event manually (swue), the workflow works fine. When i create this event, i put a PO n° and one release code (it is the same with the standard workflow).

Do you know if there is some customizing, or other biding to do between the "PO save" and the event triggering the workflow?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

You just need to make sure that the business object and event are defined in trans SWETYPV with the linkage activated. I presume you're all set up in SWU3 yes?

Also it's best/more robust if you have made a custom object of BUS2012 to make it a delegate of the original one through SWO6. That way you can keep your standard object in the tasks but the changes you made in ZBUS2012 will feed up to the standard object.

Hope this helps..
