How to trigger workflow on user status (client status) ?

Postby tyllermills » Wed Aug 06, 2008 4:07 am

Hi workflow expert,

I QM consultant and I try to learn the workflow environment around QM.
Currently, I really interested to use with Quality notification.

1 - I understand and see that all events which trigger standard workflow are based on "system status".
Is it the nice way (and only way) to trigger workflow ?

2 - I am wondering if is it possible to trigger WF on "client status" (user status) ?
do we need to modified the Business object ( BUS2078 ) ? how can we created a new events ?
do we need to do some coding ?

Thks for your help.

I try to use the BO BUS2078 ... and I see that some events of it have "parameters" which I can use into bindings. ("statuts_on" = list of JEST-STAT actived ... and "status_off" = list of JEST-STAT inactive).

That is great because I can use this data on my workflow bindings, but the problem is that I can get this paramaters only for some events. And I can not use this events all the time ...
That is the reason why I would like to create events directly with client status (jest-stat = E0001 for example).

I wich to stop (or start) on of my step in my workflow when a user status is set.
The standard works with system status for notification (BUS2078)
