workflow not completed

Hi, guys.

We have an incident that user X was receiving outlook mail alerts from a price inquiry workflow, yet he could not receive the object he's supposed to receive in his SAP inbox. Before this happened, we changed the recepient's email and user ID in TVARV table. The said table is used to map out the recipient of the table. User Y, who was previously in-charge of receiving workflow email alerts adn objects, was able to receive both the email alert and the workflow object.

We checked the workflow log and the status was READY. We assume, it was not automatically executed by the workflow.

Is there any WF-related config that we should look into to activate something?

Could it be a buffer issue? The buffer tends to mess things up in workflows
There is no crisis so deep that it cannot get any deeper
