URGENT: Authorization for SM37 (Job)

Postby Guest » Wed Oct 23, 2002 8:39 am

Hello,

I was stopped on SAP for 2 months on the SM37 Authorization!
Can someone help me?
I search all message in SApfans and OSS (101146), but it isn't net.

I beleave that what I try to do is common: user in a service must maintain only their OWN job, and the Chef of the service must maintain the job of all user of this service. (but not job of other service)

User can maintain their own Job: So, this is OK
- Without any Object: each user can schedul, delete, display detail for his OWN job (in note 101146).
- S_BTCH_JOB: (RELE-PROT): the user could release and see log for his OWN job.

User can maintain the job of one another user "UserB" (in same client):
+ S_BTCH_NAM: ( UserB)

It's not OK (SU53 says to add S_BTCH_ADM (Y) or S_ADMI_FCD (STOR),....

Is it possible in SAP?
Best regards

You will always get S_BATCH_ADM 'Y' as a error since this is a toggle switch check and it is always the last check made so SU53 always shows this. You can control which job a user can control using S_BTCH_JOB and S_BTCH_NAM, but for the administers who have to maintian all the jobs is to give them S_BATCH_ADM

Further you can give users SMX tcode to get only to their jobs and admin SM37

Thanks for your Help John,

I don't succeed in my test.
So, when you put "userB" in S_BTCH_NAM of Role of user "userA", userA get the right to maintain job of userB.
So, he can maintain job of UserB with righ of userB or with right of UserA?
