Implementing SNC

Postby dontlookdown » Tue Mar 03, 2015 7:34 pm

Hello,
I have been asked to find out by tomorrow what is involved to implement SNC into our existing SAP systems.
Now i have just downloaded the SNC user guide (which although it says 1999 is still the correct one i have been led to beleive), and i will try and go through tonight.
Would somebody be kind enough to just give me the high level bullet points of whats involved.
We are running ECC6 on Windows and SQL.
Normally i would not ask such a question as i will go and do my own research, but as i say i need some idea for tomorrow,
Many thanks if you can help,

OK so i have read some documentation on the best ways to implement SNC just for our SAPgui connections.
I believe the best option is no implement SSO and just select the secure login as a minimum component (although may look at password manager as well). If i understand it correctly, you don't have to implement SSO to get SNC, but you will have to install a 3rd party security tool, one from the approved list and GSS API V2 compatable.
Could you confirm if my understanding is correct please?
Thank you,
