The Same roles and parameters and different screen

Postby pajonatas » Mon Sep 03, 2012 2:53 pm

Hi everyone.

I have a problem and I can't solve because I'm new to SAP.

I have two different users in my environment and these users have the same parameters and Roles, I did a comparison of these users using transaction "SUIM" and there isn't difference between users, because a user was created as a copy of another.

But when users access the transaction MM01 the screens are different, a user possesses more information than another user.

What is happening for these screens are different?
And how can I solve?

Thank you.

What screen is different? the first one?
There's a 'Defaults' menu that can influence what fields appear on this screen.

Hi Gothmog !

I think when users access the same transaction, the informations must be the same thing, with the same fields.
But a user have more fields in the screens than other users.

For example: In "MM01" transaction we must have fiels about (material, unit of measure, activity sector, unit sale, since, group of goods, control data, quantity data, and others)
But this information appears only for one user, other users have only limited information (Material and Unit of measure).

And I dont know what I can do to the correct informations appear to others users.
What menu can influence what fields appear on this screen ?

Thank to your help / Obrigado pela ajuda.
Abraços.

If some screen have tabs, and pull down options and the user selects these, their selections are saved and the screen appears according to the last choices they made when they last visited it. I have no Idea if MM01 is one of those.
I have had users with the same roles and parameters and because a user chose some combination of tabs and pull down options they got an ABAP dump every time they went to the transaction and the other user did not. They were not even able to get back to make new choices.
I simply copied the user to a new name, deleted the user and renamed the new user to their old name and the problem went away, because where ever SAP saves these user choices from a screen, it gets wiped out when the id is deleted and recreated.

Have both users follow this:
1) Enter the same material number in MM01.
2) Have them both select the same material type and industry sector.
2) Click "Select view(s)" - DO NOT press <ENTER>.
3) Select the desired view. (Same views for both users)
4) Click "Organizational levels" - again DO NOT press <ENTER>. (Again, same org levels for both users)

If you see a difference now, it is a security issue - try SU53 or run a trace.
Good luck!
