Security Audit report

Postby adminbasis » Sun Feb 12, 2012 8:36 am

Is anybody know how to generate a report like list of all transactions executed by a user with his ID for a perticuler week/month for example from (01.01.2012 to 08.01.2012 ).

FYI i have already looked into ST03 & ST03N (business transaction analysis) but i did't get the full information.

Appreciate for your quick feedback

What was the problem with the info in ST03N?

You can also use SM20 assuming that you have the security audit log activated.

In ST03N i can get only 2 days information from business transaction analysis & can you pls provide the steps to configure the audit log in SM20 and which profile parametes & values i have to maintain from below parameters & can we give a separate location for this audit log as file size might grow every day & we dont have that much space in usr\sap\SID.

rsau/enable Enable Security Audit
rsau/max_diskspace/local Maximum space for security audit file
rsau/max_diskspace/per_day Maximum size of all security audit files per day
rsau/max_diskspace/per_file Maximum size of one single security audit file
rsau/selection_slots Number of selection slots for security audit
rsau/user_selection Defines the user selection method used inside kernel functions

Hi,

All the info you need to get started is on SAP Help:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpda ... ameset.htm

If you have worries about file size then you can specify a different location using DIR_AUDIT

The max_diskspace* parameters depend on things like how many active users, what you are monitoring. Set them to a high figure e.g. 10mb per day and then adjust accordingly once you have some actual usage info to work with. You can always zip or archive them after a certain period.

rsau/selection_slots - set to 10. You probably won't need that many but it can't hurt to have them available.

rsau/user_selection - set to 1 to give yourself options for using ID ranges (see note 574914)

Cheers
