Copy SQ03 assignment during user creation

Postby PettittM » Fri Aug 05, 2011 7:16 am

Hello gurus..
Is there some way when creating a new user (copy-from method in SU01) to copy SQ03 user group assignments to that user as well?

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish. Unless I have misunderstood your question..the user groups in SU01 are those created using SUGR..not SQ03.

When creating new users, we are asked to copy access from a specified existing user. SQ01/SQ03 user group assignment is not included when copying users. Is there a way to copy this from the existing user at new user creation without having to go to SQ03 separately and maintain?

User creation is done using SU01. The user group associated with SU01 is created in SUGR..not SQ03. There is no link in SU01 to the user groups created in SQ03..so I would say no..there is no way to copy the SQ03 user group information when creating new user in SU01.

Yes, use SUGR (or read the application help on SQ01/ SQ03 for the concept of authorizing via groups :).
