Can one determine if there have been dual logons in PRD?

Postby bobworthley » Tue May 17, 2011 9:20 am

We would like to know if there have been end-users logging on to the system more than once, violating the license agreement with SAP. Is that possible through a report?

Thanks in advance,

Bob

The data exists, The report I will have to look for,. You can also set a configuration setting to prevent Multiple logons, not a good Idea in all cases. Read you liscens a bit closer, it usually does not want multiple people using the same ID, one user using his ID multiple time may have some productivity advantages and not he intent of your liscenes Limit to impede productivity

I believe there is a parameter to allow some users to login multiple instead of all

The limitation with SM04 is that it will show multiple current logins on a single app server at a time. It won't give any info about previous multiple logins.

Al. is correct (need I add: as always?).

In addition. In releases > NW 640 you can evaluate the multiple logons via tx. USMM --> User Data --> User Analysis -> Multiple Logon.

Caution: Some of the reports in USMM are 'new' -> meaning: the results are questionable. I am not sure of this specific one, but just to be on the safe side, compare the results with the table Al. mentioned, when you use this report for the first time.
