Print permission

Postby paulocunha » Wed Oct 20, 2010 2:04 pm

Hi,

Could anyone tell me how to control users to have permission (or not) to print attached documents?

Thanks in advance.

I am implementing a SAP DMS, and when you create a document you can attach a file. Later on, when a user open this document, I want to define if this user can only see or if this user can also print the attached file.

And forgive me if I put this question at a wrong topic, and if a did this, be kind to say what topic would me more appropriate.

Thanks in advance.

No, no, no - this is the correct forum to post such a question. Everything perfect.

To your question: I think you cannot prevent that -or authorise that- from within SAP. If I remember correctly, the files attached to documentinfo-records are bound to be MicroSoft Windows application files = *.pdf etc. So the printing from such an application is 'guarded' by Windows. There's noting we can do from SAP.

Or did I misunderstand?
