Do you have a name for your car?

Post by blueteeth » Fri May 24, 2013 12:02 pm

I've now taken to watching Transporter - the series (not the movies). Deiter, the transporter mechanic fondly gives names to various Audis.......Hilda, Jenny etc.

Do you have a name for your car?

Sean

I wish you good courage because courage will lead you to be a star and afraid will lead you to death. Be well and patient.

Heap of %$£" I often call mine. Bless her, she is 14 years old now. I guess it should be time to lay her to rest in the junk yard in the sky. But as she's just sailed through the MOT she may yet have another year in her. The only fault given on the MOT/service document was that the orange indicator lights had faded a little so the indicator lights were not as orange as they should be. I can live with that as nobody uses those nowadays anyway, from what I've seen on the road. ;)

All my friends know the low rider
The low rider is a little higher
Low rider drives a little slower
Low rider is a real goer
Low rider knows every street yeah!
Low rider is the one to meet yeah!
Low rider don't use no gas now
Low rider don't drive to fast
Take a little trip
Take a little trip
Take a little trip and see
Take a little trip
Take a little trip
Take a little trip with me
In my opinion, Pepper Spray is underutilized as an effective tool for scope control

Here's Ferrari GTB/4 for you:

Diamond dream when the sun don't shine
I close my eyes to see
Twelve wild horses in silver chains
Calling out to me

Oh Daytona
Shine your light on me
Oh Daytona
Shine your light on me

Now she ain't easy so you take good care
Or she will scream down on your lust
She can please you like no other
Or she can leave you eating dust
Oh Daytona
Shine your light on me
Burning passion heat my day
Let me sit inside your wonder
Cloudless daydream, oh dance of dances
To have tamed the sound of thunder
Oh Daytona
Shine your light on me
Oh Daytona
Shine your light on me

Turbo Diesel... Turbo Diesel...

Bugatti - I saw you in a dream,
Volvo - You're running hot like steam,
Subaru - You start off like an arrow,
Volkswagen - You never gave me sorrow...

Sitting at the wheel,
My tires burn to squeal,
I know that I will soon be,
A hero in the Grand Prix...

Saturday night - I win at Le Mans,
Risking my life - I wave to my fans,
Morning collides - Champagne on ice,
Now I´m a star - Driving my car...

Ferrari - the fastest on the street,
Rover - you are my everything,
Bentley - A coffin for a king,
Mercedes - So classic and so chic...

"Qué difícil es hacer el amor en un Simca 1000"
Soy pobre y solo pude comprar
un Simca 1000 bastante vulgar.
Soy pobre y solo pude alquilar

-----------------------------------------------------
I'm poor and I've only could buy
a quite vulgar Simca 1000.
I'm poor and I could only rent
a small place for flirting.
And when I want to have sex with a girl
I must do it in my car.

How hard is to make love in a Simca 1000,
in a Simca 1000.

The seat doesn't move back,
and to find a position is too hard.
Put your leg here and I will put mine there,
we will need to open the rear door.

The steering wheel annoys me again,
that's not the horn you must touch.

When I'll be rich I will buy myself
a bus to make sex.

But when I want to have sex with a girl
I must do it in my car.

No names for the ones I have now.

Waaaayyyy back in the 70's though my friends started referring to my car as "The Tuna Boat".

It was the time of CB's and I was in the fire company. So I had a half-wave CB antenna, a fire scanner antenna and of course the regular radio antenna all on the back of a 4-door '65 Buick LeSabre. The biggest one ever made. Geez I miss that car. Once in college I had 11 of my friends in it.

This is the closest I could find to it but it is a '66 and is a tad smaller than the '65.

I'd love to find one to restore. Many were made but no one collected them so most are gone.
