Mid-life crisis

Post by abap_doctor » Tue May 22, 2012 5:31 am

So does getting rid of a Volvo S80 and buying a Audi A5 Coupe Quattro count as a mid-life crisis, or do I also need to buy a Harley? :?

Be careful on replacement in mid-life stage - the Audi, SAAB, Harley or the Trophy. They are perfectly capable of giving you a whiplash. :)

Hey Doc

I had to check the date of your post twice to make sure it wasn't resurrected from the past. Nice to see you back on GD. (Graveyard of Decency). I think you actually need to trade in the Volvo for a Subaru, Volvo's are too racy for a man of your mature years.

I wish you good courage because courage will lead you to be a star and afraid will lead you to death. Be well and patient.

Just noticed when I was born the E-type was still in production... scary.

Anyways, doc... look for a good classic of the year you was developed (I still doubt you was born) and buy it. If it ages better than you burn it, and if it ages worse enjoy the fact you are better than a good old car.

It's great to be remembered! Hi to all my chums! :D

Sorry I was gone so long but I've just had a string of security cleared contracts that made it very difficult to access SAPFans at work! I've just taken another SC contract and this one does allow it!

@count - had Nissan Skyline about ten years ago... Man! do I miss it!!! Should have kept it as it was absolutely wonderful, but I sold it for a pittance (and bought a Passat TDI) :oops:

@vic - E type was great at the time... Still looks fine... Would like a modern version - did you see Top Gear test??? How about a Ford Capri? Had three of those!!!

@sean - had a Volvo S80 for 6 years... 2.4l 5-cyl turbo diesel... Can't think of a better motorway eater! Cumfy too!

@rich - trouble is when you see an R8 they're always driven by knobs... :P p.s. looked at your knowledge-korner yesterday to get rid of the ABAP rust!!!!

A5 is pretty good, but the seat was designed for someone with a smaller butt than mine... :?

Goes pretty well too... Came to work on monday, did a two hour twenty minute journey at average 76mph, and at 39mpg... 8) (and a sore arse!) :(
