The other 2/3...

Blame Bush.

1/3 of Europeans: Jews caused meltdown

It seems history IS repeating itself.

A global war.
An economic crash.
Blame the Jews.
What was it that came next?

looking at their question, it looks kind of loaded:
It says that in Spain, 74 percent of those asked say they feel it is "probably true" that Jews hold too much sway over the global financial markets. That is the highest percentage in the survey.
so the survey was directly asking if jews were part of the problem, did they also ask if bankers, government or new zealanders also had too much sway?

wouldnt a more fair question have been something along the lines of
Who do you think has too much sway over the global financial crisis?
if 74% of spaniards had then selected Jewish folks, i would agree their is a real problem.

I'm not foolish to believe anti-semitism doesn't exists (and I do believe Spain's numbers), but I don't really believe something coming from the Anti-Defamation League, in the past they have manipulated data to paint the anti-Zionism movement as completely anti-semitic and are prominent in attacking anyone who is critical of Israel's treatment for Palestinians.

I would really like to know how they define "anti-semitism". This question in particular is pretty disturbing

Code: Select all

In total, about 40 percent of those questioned said Jews have too much power in the business world, including more than half of Hungarian, Spanish and Polish respondents.
Is this intrinsically anti-semitic? Jewish people are indeed overrepresented in the business world and in many countries they are usually the most successful ethnic group. Is there anything wrong with stating that? Many Jews have written about this in the past and propose that the roots of anti-semitism are the feelings of envy at their success. The question doesn't ask if the responder has a problem with that.

Spartan, you need to change your readings. I'm serious about that. The Jerusalem Post? Seems a very neutral information site, really. Have you read China's journals to know what happens in the world? I'm sure the good guys are the Chinese governors.

Surveys of 500 (FIVE-HUNDRED) people in seven countries... I suppose the range of people asked were the whole country. Let's say: one guy interviewed -> 500km trip to get another guy randomly. Sounds logical.

I will make a survey in my office: just will ask ONE guy if he likes your sign. If he does, I will say: "100% of Spaniards like S_C's sign".

what do you mean, should i not believe the following story from chinadaily.com?
BEIJING -- China's international exchanges and cooperation involving human rights have expanded and strengthened since its reform and opening up, Chinese human rights experts said Thursday.

Luo Yanhua, professor at the School of International Studies of Beijing-based Peking University, said the country's attitudes have changed regarding participation in international human rights efforts.

Doh... does a "Teheran Daily" exists? Or some journal from Iran? I'm pretty sure that they will say bad things about the USofA, and some of them will not be true.

every time there is a financial crisis, people hurry to find the (a, some, any) culprit. riding on those waves comes racism and other *isms.

for s_c to pick exactly this piece shows nothing about jews, bush, global crises - but a lot about s_c. and no more.

and just to echo muhnkee's sentiments about bankers, governments and new zealanders - other sources blame other culprits:

so now you will tell me that this isnt true:
TEHRAN – Iran’s national security chief, Saeed Jalili, called the victory of the Palestinian resistance movement against the Israeli army in the 22-war a “great victory”.

Next they will be telling us that the Iraq war was not about oil or about weapons of mass destruction but an israeli led initative to rid Iraq of Saddam. As if. That would mean that the countless lives of iraqi civilans, US, British , Italian etc serviceman lost their lives for the Israeli Government. As if. Who would believe that ?

Was there a point to this necromancy ?
You do know that 9/10 of SAPfans users think necromancers hold too much sway over the global posting market, don't you ?
