retail with Production

Hi all,

At my current project we are faced with a food retailer who also does a lot of production activities themselves. If we choose SAP for Retail as the ERP system to be implemented we can solve a lot of the retail specific issues that we would have with standard R/3. But I doubt the capabilities of PP and PM if we decide to use retail especially with retail master data. Anyone has any thoughts?

Can you be more specific on your doubts. Retails is mainly about POS and is a relatively simple add-on which can be combined with any of the other IS-Solution. So what production industry do you refer to?
