I can understand your point. I thought it would be one of the first reactions many would have. The program is meant to make selections in the acceptance system more easy. If there is a human code check before transport to acceptance is authorized, activating the program on the acceptance system opens a new gate for selections in the acceptance system. I agree with you that in that case the situation changes and this extended freedom of selection may not be wanted. I have not encountered many companies though where there are strict human code checks before transport to acceptance. If there's no human code check, using this program doesn't change the situation much. Using transports or executing code directly is pretty much the same. Except that there's a trace when performing a transport. But as there's no human code check before transport, having this trace will not avoid developers to execute whatever selection they want. And anyway, if there's no human code check before transport this program may well be already on the system, even in production. Applying extra checks (daily code checks of created and changed programs) is an advantage that you have when implementing this program and may make your system safer. PS: thanks for your reaction
It's not a remake of this function. This function is very new. The flexible report has first been implemented on a 4.0 system and is backward and mostly upward compatible (had no problems with new releases because it's written very generically). If geocities is blocked it should be unblocked the next day. It would surprise me that there's been too much traffic though.
