Updating KEPM Planning Framework with EDI

To enter a COPA forecast via KEPM can be time consumuing. Using an Excel upoload via KE13n is also possible and an improvement maybe.
I was wondering if EDI COPAGN01 could be used? Anyone experience of this EDI type.
I am not finding much information other than the standard idoc definition which isnt too clear to me to be honest .. any help appreciated on whether we can upload data based on our Planning Layout .
