Idoc stuck with status “Transaction Recorded”

hi experts

im sending a batch of 5000 records (from the external system) to SAP.

In SAP, in the tRFC queue (SM58), every now and then, there’s an idoc stuck with status “Transaction Recorded”. It just stops there and doesn’t change status until many hours later.
Normally, it should be “Transaction Recorded”  “Transaction Executed”.

During this time, in the external system, the Outbound Queue shows that the entry is “Submitted” status but doesn’t have an idoc number. It just hangs there.

In order for me to ‘kick’ the idoc awake, I go to SM58, select the “stuck idoc”, and Press F6 (Execute LUW).

can you experts throw some light in this issue.

Have a look at OSS notes 1483845 and 74141, maybe you can find a clue there (or a least a workaround).

It might be that there are not enough processes available in SAP to process the incoming IDoc.
