Can Change Pointers trigger IDOC during Create?

Postby Guest » Wed Aug 17, 2005 4:31 am

Hi All

We have activated Chnage Pointers for Message type CREMAS (Vendors)

I have selected half a dozen fields using BD52 that I want an IDOC to be created for on Change.

This works fine.

However I also want to be able to create the IDOC in a similar way when the Vendor is first created instead of only in change mode.

Can anyone help? Is it possible? Is it just a setting somewhere?

Thanks in advance for your help

All

Just for info. I found the problem.

In BD52 I had selected 11 entries for CREMAS and removed the rest. None of the entries had the values for create (which I understand are)

Object Table Name Field Name

KRED LFA1 KEY

I just added these back in and all seems to be fine and dandy

Cheers

Hello, All!

I have a similar problem when vendor creating.
I have new entry in table LFA1 and LFB1. Change pointers in BDCP2 creates only for entry in LFA1.

However I test process for entry in BD52:
1. All fields of table LFA1 and LFB1 (with field KEY)
2. Only entry
KRED LFA1 KEY
3. Only entry
KRED LFB1 KEY
4. Entry's:
KRED LFA1 KEY
KRED LFB1 KEY

But noway change pointers for LFB1 doesn't created.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Do you see the change document entries for LFB1 KEY?

There is always no entries In BDCP2 table for LFB1 :(

PS LFB1 have no field KEY. Why it need in BD52?

The KEY 'field' means the entire record - creation or deletion.
And I meant change documents (CDHDR/CDPOS), from which the Change pointers (BDCP2) are created.

In CDHDR entry created.
In CDPOS entry created only for LFA1 KEY.

Thank you for your support!

Well, this explains why you don't get a change pointer for LFB1, as they're created from the change documents.
However, you should have an entry in CDPOS for LFB1 KEY when you create the company data of the vendor...
How is this company data maintained?

I'm hiring personal with t-code PA40.
And after saving 0002IT in LFB1 created new record with LFB1-LIFNR=T0*.

I don't know much about this specific HR-MM-FI integration, sorry.
I think the standard way uses transaction PRAA to create/update this vendor data - but in this case, you'd have the change documents.
I'd debug and look at how it's done in your case, to check if that's not in an exit or a specific program.
