SAP alternatives on railways

Dear fans,
I need your help and advice! How do you thing are there any alternative choice to SAP? What can be close to SAP it the area of railways? You know that some railway companies have SAP, for example Russian railways, Latvian, Lithuanian etc. what kind of another systems could be suitable for this area (may be Oracle, Navision…).
Hope for soon advices!
P.S.: I’m a student and writing my diploma and I need your opinions!

Hi,

in such big companys, they have many software providers. I don't know any big company using only SAP, SAS, Oracle or others. I think SAP is a good choice, but if You mean tools for sophisticated reportings Microstrategys solutions could be a good choice.

Try asking on ERPGenie.com ... they're willing to talk about ERP's other than SAP ... we don't really care about them on this site ..........

You may also try erpforum.co.uk or erpfans.com and ask them.
