Can SNP quantities get fed to PPDS Blocks?

I am trying to get SNP quantities to feed into PPDS Blocks.
In my testing, and reading of SAP help, it seems that SNP does
not deal with characteristics and so this is not possible.
Has anyone ever got SNP quantities into PPDS Blocks?
And if so how!?

Try running a PP/DS heuristic with an infinite strategy that re-reads your master data. This may pull all of your characteristics into your new PP/DS orders
