Stock in transit in planning book

Post by malgo » Wed May 14, 2008 3:36 am

Hello,

I am not APO consultant but “only” MM and SD so sorry if my question is too basic for you.

I would like to know how the stock in transit can be seen in the planning book in APO.
I have looked in this forum and found out only one answer:
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=213678
which is saying
You must create an inbound delivery at the receiving location for the stock to show up as in transit. The inbound delvery is SAP's standard way of showing intransit.
It is really mandatory to have an inbound delivery?
I have checked the OSS notes and found out that apparently the stock in transit transfer is possible Release 2.0 (183384 - Transfer termination of stock in transit).
We are in release 4.1 so we should be able to do it.

In the OSS note “901982 - Stock in transit to APO without active integration model”, the stock in transit is transferred only via Inventory posting apparently.

So my questions are:
  • It is possible to see the stock in transit in the planning book without an inbound delivery?
If yes, what should be done in R/3 and APO?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Best Regards,
Malgo
