SAP and HANA implementation question

Postby anya_nanda » Wed Jan 30, 2013 10:20 pm

We are implementing ecc and native Hana on our project. in ecc fico be design, the team is proposing to have gl accounts for all accounts that are on the P & L and internal orders for temporary things where costs are incurred or revenue generated for a brief period of time. In the past, client has been creating additional gl accounts for such temporary things that come up. however, from a reporting standpoint client wishes to generate a P & L type report that has subtotals by GL and also incorporates data from internal orders. this report needs to come from hana.

are gl account info and internal orders stored in separate tables in ecc? if yes, does anyone know what tables these are and if there is any linkage between them? also, from hana modeling perspective what is needed to be done in hana to get such a report. I am trying to make sure the hana team (we have no bw) will be able to create a P & L with data from GL accounts and Internal Orders.
