WAD - adding custom background image via css

Postby tvjacsb » Tue Oct 30, 2012 5:45 pm

Hello,
I am trying to add a background image to a web template using css. This is my first time trying this. When I generate in the browser, all that is returned is a blank web browser page. I have uploaded the .css file into the BW mime repository, along with the image I want to use.

Here is the code in the XHTML editor (I added the part that starts with <link, the rest is generated by WAD):
Code: Select all
<bi:bisp  xmlns="http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40" xmlns:bi="http://xml.sap.com/2005/01/bi/wad/bisp" xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" >
    <html >
        <head >
            <title >BEx Web Application</title>
            <meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="Content-Type" />
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href=" bwmimerep:///sap/bw/mime//Customer/StyleSheets/BW.css "/>
        </head>
        <body >
            <bi:TEMPLATE_PARAMETERS name="TEMPLATE_PARAMETERS" />
<!-- insert data providers, items and other template content here -->
        </body>
    </html>
</bi:bisp>

My .css code is as follows:
Code: Select all
body
{
              background-image:url('bwmimerep:///sap/bw/mime/Customer/Images/template2b.jpg');
              background-repeat:no-repeat;
}

I have tested that the file path is correct by typing in the server name + the file path directly into a web brower page and the image is displayed. The problem is I can't get the background image to display when using the web template.

Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sara

So, it works now. I asked the web application guy and he told me, "I doubt that address will work, bwmimerep: is not a URL scheme that would work within IE." He told me to type in the following line instead:
Code: Select all
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://svk-print01/BW.css" />

And it works now. So thankful for helpful web application developers. :)
