Processkey Logistic Extractors

Does anybody have documentation on how the processkey is assigned to the line item extractors of SD?

Check OSS on 0PROCESSKEY - it's all assigned in transactions MCB0 and MCB_.

True, I know these transactions. Still, I'd like to know what determines the processkey for a specific sales order.

I came as far as the fields VBAK-VBTYP in combination with VBAP-PSTYV. These field contain the specific document item categories. From this combination the system determines the processkey. What I want to know is what logic is behind this determination.

Could you help me with this?
