Info Cube data is design in a multidimensional schema called star schema and ODS data is a simple "flat" relational table

Infocube:
1.It is based on starschema
2.It is used for multidimensional analysis
3.U can aggregate data
4.Default update rule is addition
Multicube is supported

ODS:

It is not based on starschema
U can't aggregate datas
data must be loaded into ODS objects via PSA
Default update rule type is overwrite
Multicube is not supported

...with 3.0 multicube or multiprovider is supported for ods objects

most important feature are the key fields, using key fields you can for example merge data from order and delivery (as long as the delivery carries the reference to the order). like german bwer wrote - is a flat relational table.

another feature is the possibility to update data as well in overwrite modus (if the same key is delivered again - the non key-fields are overwritten) as in the additional modus (non key-field are summed up).
