remove filter (first 100 values) in a query?

Post by Guest » Fri Oct 25, 2002 8:07 am

Is it possible to remove the limitation (first 100 values) when searching for filter values for infoobjects (by default) when working with a query so that the users don´t have to remove the limit everytime when using a filter in the query.
best regards,

Your are right, but in my experience if the first 100 values are not all possiblities you are likely to risk Axtive X Control errors or long query times for the retrieval of the filter values.

Of course this is a problem of the SAP Analyzer implementation. But this is the least weakness of this dialog.

I think there this is just list index 0 of the combo box, but on the other hand it helps you not to crash while query building.

Concerning users: Try a variable, then the filtering is easier for SAP experienced users. Only use the variable when the disadvantage of using the varaiable is less effort and of course also the Clients Filter dialog suffers from stange but well known behavoir.
