ODS delta to BW Cube fails

Postby wilde1 » Fri Oct 25, 2002 4:52 am

I am doing a load from an ODS full update. Then it does a delta load in to a cube, however i am getting error messages in when trying to load from the ODS to the cube.

The message i get is
'datasource must be replicated'
'errors in source system'

I have replicated both R3 and BW, and i have activated all the update/transfer rules yet it still fails.

Any ideas.

Thanks

The cube pulls data from ODS thro' an export(ed) datasource (if direct). Did you try re-generating the export DS from the ODS?

Hi good to hear from you again SR.

The infosource for the Cube is the ODS which i have re-generated and i also activated the info source going in to the ODS, and finally the udpate rule going to the cube.

When you talk about the 'Did you try re-generating the export DS from the ODS' Are you refering to the update rules to the cube? if so yes i have.

Bad weekend wilde1! Hence the delay. What I actually meant was, RMC the ODS, and choose 'Generate export DS'. The update rules get deactivated only if you change something in the cube. But the TRs get deactivated sometimes for no reasson at all (it thinks that there was a change in the filed structure!) and you may have to regen the ex-DS.[/i]
