Problem in B2B Sales - Tax Jurisdiction Code.

Postby RAMEYA » Wed Nov 27, 2002 5:08 am

Dear All,

We are Integrating SAP CRM 3.0 Ides ( without any third party Tax ware like Vertex ) with SAP R/3 4.6C Ides for B2B sales scenario for US Customers.

We are facing the problem in creation of Sold to party in CRM in particular US Customers . Whenever we are trying to create New BP (Organisation ) as Sold to Party, We are getting error message as “The tax jurisdiction code could not be determined”.
But Some of the Existing Sold to Party BP are already having TAX Jurisdiction Code as 10 digit No. which has come with IDES. When we try to put the same Tax Jurisdiction code (or any 10 digit no) to a new Sold to Party BP, It is giving an error as “There is no RFC function from an external system for tax activity JUR”. This may be because we do not have any third party tax ware software.

The same error mesaages are showing up when we replicate R/3 Sold- to – Party to CRM as they do not have value in Tax Jurisdiction Code (R/3 4.6 Ides does not have Jurisdiction Codes).

If we check the Table ADRC , This field was initialised as Not null value. And this table is client indipendent.

Is there a way that Tax Jurisdiction code field can be made optional with out any further complications from customising point of view and B2B Sales scenario wise. Or Can we make this field take the external va;ue manually populated by the user.
Actually we are trying B2B integration

Does anyone has any solution for the same.

Thanks & Regards,
