System of Records question

Post by Martin_US » Tue Nov 26, 2013 7:15 pm

Ok guys,

I had a CRM - SAP project and I got confused. Being a SAP (native) guy, for me, due to capabilities, SAP would be the system of records. Can someone explain to me why I would try to mirror SAP capabilities in a system like CRM for which it wasn't build for?

As a matter of fact, using CRM as some order management system seems to be completely nuts.

Where am I mistaken?

Thanks
Martin

CRM can not be called as an Order Management System only, but Order is a major part of it. We need to integrate it with the other systems to form a closed loop for customer interaction.
