Replicating custom tables (ztables) between ECC and CRM

Hi

We need to create similar Ztables in ECC and CRM and update the records from ECC to CRM every night.Could you pls let me know step by step instructions on how to replicate data between ECC and CRM, as I am new to CRM. Thanks.

Hello crmabap

I don't know much about CRM.

But if you are using Oracle database, you can write an SQL program to copy modified record from a database to another. That program can be launch from the OS at a specific time.
I know that can be done. How? that is another story.

Otherwise you can used RFC (Remote function call) to copy a ztable to another.

The questions are:
Is all the ztable has to be transfered from a system to another?
Or just modified records.

If you need to transfer only modified records, I hope that you are keeping a date stamp of the records modifications, like oracle does. Otherwise you will not be able to distingish which record to transfer.

It is not much, but I hope that will bring you to the right direction.

what about tranporting the tables? I assume there is no trans link between the system so copy over the cofiles and data files and import. Need to check the domains e.t.c all exist in the target system
